I think that's more "Thanks US"--it just used Morgan and some Rapinoe because they're the recognizable faces.
Morgan leads the Golden Boot race (on the assists tiebreaker)before the game started, so assuming no Dutch player scores 4 or 5, the only person that has a realistic shot of topping her is Rapinoe.
Well, the Dutch have kept a clean sheet for the first 12 minutes, something nobody else has done this tournament against the US.

Rapinoe is a step or 3 slow. HOlding back due to worry about aggravating or just injured, but given how Heath is bombing down the right, seems a good idea to get a fully healthy player on the left as well.

There's been 4 or 5 times already when it seems like a pass is right to the feet of a US player, and they mess up the first touch just enough to allow the defense to take it away.

Wow. the Ned goalie has had like 3-4 saves purely due to being in the right spot / perfect positioning

This is starting to remind me of the 2011 final, when it seems like the US is totally running the show but just can't put one away.
Not sure how that wasn't a foul. Lavelle looked like her leg was completely kicked out from under her.
And leads immediately to a direct kick from dangerous spot and a yellow card.
Pretty standard for a FIFA event. No replays of anything that wasn't called (but maybe should have been).
They let that woman back out and at the half she was on the ground looking like she had no idea where she was.

True that luck is involved however her positioning has been consistently great.
