Not harsh for Lukaku. Who knows how many more point blank misses he had in himself today?
As much as we all appreciate it, even before this match, it was more of a dead rubber than your average NASCAR track. Turns out Panama, Jamaica, and Costa Rica is a different animal than two of the best countries in the world and a feisty African side.
Best suited to group stages where draws can help take points off others.

I have a lot to say about Belgium. Martinez finally made changes to his XI but his shape and deployment of resources was all wrong. In a must win match they spent most of it passing the dreaded back line umbrella. No cohesion in attack, no press, almost nothing happening that defines modern football. Really just hoping KDB does something special and hope for the best. They deserved what they got and it’s criminal Doku wasn’t on earlier
Of course as a City fan Haaland and KDB are now both resting until the restart so I’ve got that going for me
Looking ahead to this afternoon, kinda sucks for the country of Japan. They've been to the R16 3 times in their history, they have an excellent chance to see their team get there again, and the game is scheduled for 4am Tokyo Time.
Obviously opinions will differ, but on a Friday morning I'd certainly prefer 4-6am over 12-2am.
