That´s understandable.
But there´s a difference in "having" him no matter what and having to pay 40mil to get him. Jogi wants Özil in the field and he prefers Kroos as a #10 today, okay.
Well, your classic 10 doesn't play LM.

There is going to be a lot of interchange in the middle between Kroos, Muller, Ozil, and Gotze in front of Lahm and Khedira.  Especially since either Lahm or Khedira is gong to have to track back a bit to help Botang with CR.

I think you're going have something looking more like a classic 4-2-3-1 formation until one of these teams break through.

Why no one should give JK shit when he talks about how realistic it is for the US to win this--Podolski and Klose don't start for Germany. Insane.

Yeah, but Germany is just a machine with cogs and stuff, and has no actual creativity or anything because Germany and they are just a machine lol ESPN

Ugh, I really hate the hounding of the ref. I'd implement the rugby rule, only the captain can talk to the ref.

I thought the Premier League had started some kind of initiative along those lines. But yeah, that was disgusting on Portugal's behalf.

It's a rule in soccer too. The problem is that it's never enforced, and you can't really start carding the whole team in the World Cup like that, for obvious reasons. FIFA need to make sure it's enforced at the league level up.

All the ref has to do is put his hand on his pocket and stare them down

Well in that case, he had the card out, and no one backed off until Ronaldo showed up.

2nd time it took Lahm too much time with the ball on his feet and the back to the field. This time he was lucky to get the foul call...should play it faster. Those counterattacks for Portugal are neckbreakers.

How about just Pepe then? The ref had to physically move him after the penalty call, then on Nani's foul on Lahm, he charged aggressively at the ref.

...which was located 30m away. That´s what you learn at Real.

I think Pepe should start every game with a yellow and a verbal warning.

Maybe add a new justification for a card on top of dissent, professional foul, etc.: Failure to control.  Card the captain.  He's usually a player the club least wants to lose, and you don't wind up giving out six cards for 10 seconds of idiotic behavior.

I'd be down with that, but it might not be enough.

I say give John Terry 30 minutes with all of the players' WAGs if they keep it up.

Eder comes in for Hugo Almeida. Hope he isn´t injured too much.  I don´t want the portuguese to advance, but i don´t think he is that decisive for them.

Nice pass to Özil who lays it off to
