Dear God, this lens flare going across the screen is awful.

Good god Iran look bad. I expected 10 men behind the ball, but the inability to string 2 passes together without giving it away is an unwelcome surprise.

Here
Some Iranian guy tripped behind the play with nobody within 2 yards of him and waved his arms around for a foul. That was funny.

I think that was Ghoochannejhad waving for a foul for a hold on Dejagah, not on himself. It wasn't one but yeah

Any idea what happened to the Nigerian player who just came off the field a few minutes ago?

It was tough to tell from the replays (and no audio) what happened. Didn't look like he rolled his ankle so maybe he tweaked the achilles on the landing?

Great save by the Nigerian keeper, quick reaction.

The Nigerian player went back on the pitch. Seemed to get his ankle magic spray / taped.

And then he was subbed - Ogabona for Yobo.

The anti-Portugal.
Instead of running at the ref, lie like a corpse until he comes over to make sure you're alive, then argue,

Why couldn't we have one of these teams in our group?
Iran couldn't be in our group because CONCACAF has been grouped with Asia the last few draws. It sucks

They should just put all the non-Europe teams in one pod and let the chips fall where they may, with no more than one from each non-Europe continent

FIFA rankings are stupid, what can you do.
They have to have some starting point for determining team levels, and FIFA rankings are all there is.

What I don't get is when were they 11. Last 4 quarters, they're 3 or 4.

Was this from 6 years ago?

Did ESPN have that slo-mo of the Nigerian player rolling over and over?
BBC did, it was hillarious.

It was tough to tell. Maybe he fell over while waving for the foul, then got up and continued to wave?

I've done the sim about a dozen times just now, 3/4 US gets very strong group, 1/4 strong group.

Man, I just got one where we get the Socceroos.

But, for all the talk of the Group of Death, look what's happened today--Portugal blown out, plus a red card and an injury on the backline.

Anyone find out how the group odds changed after that?
