I always love when this happens. Especially when there's still like 13 minutes left in the game.

Let's try to clarify things. If US:
wins: leads group, advances with any result and could even advance with loss to Iran.
draw: would need win over Iran
loss: would need win over Iran and GD would come into play. Right now they are 2 better in GD Wales. A 2 goal loss puts them even.
No realistic scenario where England can lose the top spot with a win today. The GD versus Iran would be at least 7.
All that said, if I didn't miss anything--the US will likely, no matter the scoreline, park the bus in the second half. They'll either be protecting a lead, protecting a draw, or trying to keep the scoreline manageable.

I agree absolutely that they worked the referee, but it wouldn’t have changed the result.
They were constantly surrounding him, in his face, complaining… He should have put a stop to it.
They crowded him and he stuck to an erroneous yellow card. He missed two handballs by Wales, one of which was a shocker for both him and the linesman to miss it on the edge of Iran's area. He gave a cheap yellow to Rezaiean, and a legit one to Jahanbakhsh that keeps him out of the US match.
If they were working the referee they had almost nothing to show for it lol
That the takeaway from that match for a relative neutral was that Iran got Wales off their game because they worked the ref, and that "this is their culture", is lazy yer da bullshit

Robbie Savages pre-game comments on radio were fairly entertaining. Something along the lines of he could play against Iran and Wales would win… topped it off by saying his own team ( Macclesfield) could beat Iran.
First game of the day it keeps cutting out the first few minutes and shows me American football robots or some stupid shit.
I've seen a number of English pundits mocking the Welsh, saying they're happy they got knocked out, they deserve it for their comments after England's exits from the last few tourney's. etc.

Is it me or is this game terrible? One cool moment and 20 minutes of each team kicking it around the middle field until they give it away or foul.

I don't think I have ever seen a ball turned over where the now attackers had that large of a numbers advantage. This is a very high heavy press.
So we just need US over England today and Wales over England Friday to knock them out of the tourney.
I mean, the odds are tremendously low, but I'd enjoy it.
