Totally. I was thrilled when the Sox won in 04 and in 07, but being there in 13 was even more special.
I dunno. I've kind of enjoyed watching the misery of Yankee and Astros fans plus going undefeated on the road in the playoffs would be an exclamation point to end a great season.

Back in April - June, I was travelling a lot from Cody to Charlotte, NC for work. There's a Chinese restaurant in our building so I had dinner there one night. My fortune cookie read "Your sports team will be very successful this year"

I just want to say, You're Welcome.

I’m sure it was a thrill of a lifetime experience for you. However I have to think of myself first and my imagination is too active for my own good wrt things that can go wrong. A sixth game means all the NL team needs to do is win two straight games to win the series. Any team can do that, even on the road. This year, we lost 2 in a row at home to the Rays, A’s, Indians, Astros and Yankees. By the time the Yankees did it, it was all locked up. A Red Sox in 5, please.

I think they dropped an “s” after team.

If they are going to win in 5, let it go W, W, W, L, W. That way we could get two games worth of “only one team in MLB history has ever won (lost) after being down (up) three games to zero.”

Oh yes, when one team goes up 3-0 over the other in the post season of any sport, the radar and the sonar turn on looking for the 2004 ALCS mentions.

The cradle of the game.
Considering Kinsler's funk, wonder how much of a defensive drop off would Phillips be at 2B? Phillips vs. LHP, Holt vs. RHP, keep Mookie in RF. Phillips also could offer Nunez insurance (vs LHP) at 3B. Kinsler played 3B only once, 6 years ago.

In an NL park, I'd rather put JD at first, maybe double switching him to RF, Mookie to CF, and have the ability for multiple options at 2B and 3B.

This Dodgers team isn't great. The Red Sox are going to win another World Series on the road

I reckon Dave Roberts will get a warm reception in Fenway when the teams are introduced. He deserves it.

I lived in Washington Heights when Manny and Ortiz were Sox and just after Pedro left. Lots of Dominican Sox fans, it was weird wearing a Sox hat in NYC and getting high fives.
Sounds like my time in Washington Heights might have overlapped with yours. We were up there from 1990 to August 2005, the last 13 years on Bennett at 190th Street. When we first moved up there, Manny was starting to get noticed in high school.
