The World Series should have a proper game thread, not some catch-all soxhop poll thread posted 2 nanoseconds after the ALDS ended.

Dodgers rolling through the postseason powered by the genius of Andrew Friedman and the likability of Yasiel Puig meet an Astros team fresh off an emotional Game 7 slaying of the big, bad Yankee dragon. It's 100 degrees, two 100 win teams are on the field and Alex Cora is 100% going to be calling the shots in Boston next year. Should be a great series and hopefully lots of fun.

Go Dodgers!

¡Viva Puig!

I'm looking forward to just watching and seeing who I find myself rooting for. They got rid off the two teams I hate in the last round, so I don't think either winning would bother me.
Agreed. But pre-series I'm leaning rooting for Houston. I just enjoy Altuve too much (although Turner is a guy who is right up there, too).

This is one of the greatest things I have read in my long life.
Thanks. But give Faulkner or Hemingway a chance.

I figure my predictive prowess is so far in the toilet already this post-season that I need to go big to rehabilitate myself.

This YouTube ad is messing with my depth perception. It’s like it’s in front of my tv.

Matt Marrone, ESPN.com: Dodgers center fielder Chris Taylor homered off Astros ace Dallas Keuchel on the very first pitch of the World Series.
