So I don't think Kershaw gets the loss, but remember he started this game and now the Astros have dropped 11.
And? A Keuchel lead start gave up 8. Breaking balls aren't breaking. Baseballs are flying. Kershaw probably should've "only" given up 4, but this dump is completely on Morrow and Roberts at this point.

RT @_dadler: Carlos Correa's HR into the Crawford Boxes had a launch angle of 48 degrees, per @statcast -- the highest on a HR in @MLB this year.

But you have him up and ready. Roberts went to an overworked Morrow with no backup. He'd had the midas touch in the playoffs with the pen until Game 2, but maybe the success made him unprepared?

Or who knows. I just kinda hate Houston now. I hope the Dodgers fans pelt Gurriel with troll dolls in game 6.
Agreed - but the problem is that everything that had worked to date fell apart. As I posted upthread, the Dodgers are 100-1 in games in which Kershaw has a four run lead. Maeda was nails for this post-season. Morrow has been money. To your point, the latter was a bad decision but everything that was supposed to work blew up for Roberts tonight. And yet this game isn't over. The Astros pen is mega leaky...

Stranding the man at third with 1 out was big.

Dodgers should have scored more runs last inning.

Three run lead seems protectable here.

It's too bad baseball is so boring and not exciting like the NFL, with all its huddling and punting and touchbacks.

Liriano had a 4.73 FIP with the Blue Jays this season and an .832 OPS against. The Dodgers may climb over one another to get to the plate against him.

He's a type 1 diabetic to begin with.

2008 - Sore shoulder
2009 - Biceps tendinitis
2010 - Altered his delivery to help his arm, was shut down early to protect him
2011 - Right forearm inflammation
2012 - Strained left oblique
2013 - Strained forearm, had surgery for a trapped nerve in his elbow
2014 - Torn tendon sheath in his right hand
2015/16 - Shoulder impingement surgery

Amazingly was mostly healthy this year. Until now.
Not sure what being a T1DM has to do with any of his orthopedic injuries? These aren't infections

Not sure if I'm serious or not but can Verlander close? Off day tomorrow so if he only throws one inning seems like he'd be ok. They can't possibly use Giles.

The best pitcher is baseball went 3.x innings. Is something like 119-8 with a 3 run lead and has known post season issues.

4 2/3 innings. None of the pitchers have it tonight. Funny that's how it goes, but he was pitching well until the 5th, although there's not many swings and misses to go around tonight. I'm completely bought into the slick ball theory affecting breaking balls.

No, but a well known "side effect" of diabetics is being slow to heal.
As a T1dm and surgeon this isn't accurate. If the diabetic has blood vessel damage then yes, they will have poor healing. But being a diabetic in and of itself doesn't mean you have poor healing. Blood vessel damage usually occurs from years of poorly controlled DM.
Since he is a successful pitcher who was diagnosed at the end of high school I'm guessing he has had good medical care. While I dont know his A1c, I'm guessing it is well controlled given the close medical care.

So what happened yesterday when it was a 1-1 game after 8. Different balls?
