I think it was because the LF was converging on him, (a la last night) so he wasn't in a great position to catch and throw.
Yea he spent alot of time calling for the ball like right up until he caught it.

Agreed -- the left fielder absolutely got too close, and I bet last night flashed through Rajai's mind

Davis watching the runner before deciding to throw. Bonehead.
I don't agree. Davis got rid of the ball quickly and, if anything the throw was high. Bryant has great speed. It was a ballsy send. I dont agree with Smoltz either.

In other news Contreras all of a sudden can hit...wow.

The Cardinals beat us in 1946 and 1967. I'm not old enough to remember either of them, are you? I am old enough to remember beating them in 2004 and 2013. Aren't we even with them by now?

(And from my perspective, ahead of them.)
I want 2nd place in the franchise titles race. Absent 2006 which they really had no business winning, and 2011 which they ripped from Ron Washington's jittery, coked-out hands, we'd only be 1 behind them.

...and that really looked like JBJ could've gotten there.

Why do you say all the wrong things? It makes no sense b/c Davis did NOT get rid of the ball quickly. He stuttered and took an extra step.

Tito stuck too long with Kluber. Even when he was getting outs he was getting smacked around. Shouldn't have come out for the 4th, certainly should be out by now.

Ah well.
For sure looking like a guy pitching for the 3rd time in 9 days.

I'm all for advanced metrics, but it would suck if Kluber or Miller had their arm basically permanently degraded in a losing WS effort.
