Cuddyer is clearly on the Mets roster for those Mets fans too young to remember a 40 something Willie Mays embarrassing himself in the 1973 World Series.

I can't imagine how Uribe is healthy enough to be on the WS roster, but not healthy enough to be a better hitter than Cuddyer at this point.

Reynolds: "Fortunately, he (Granderson) got back up."

Well, no shit Harold. Did you think he'd just lay there?

Lorenzo Cain hit .307/.361/.477 during the season and he's trying to bunt in this situation. This is why the Royals can never win a World Series. This kind of play can not garner traction.

This has got to be 'game 1' Collins managing... Familia was clearly starting to tire a bit by the end of the Cubs series (FB was down a few mph), but I'm still surprised he's not in at this point

*edit

Or, they can just figure out the plan - get the Royals to swing at high unhittable fastballs

It's like when Madison Bumgarner just went high, higher, and highest when he got the Royals to 2 strikes.

Collins has to just out manage Yost.  Wrap your head around that one for a while.

See!!! That's why you bunt!!! Cuz a pitcher may throw one over the catcher!!
