We're waiting for Walter Murray, right? That's Reg's team, I think, going back in the thread.

I'm awake way too late, but that was so much fun to watch. Great looking team you got there Reggie. They looked really well coached, passing like crazy without the ball hitting the floor, opposing team goes into the zone, and they immediately know what to do, and that freshman kid, Zach can fucking stroke it. That end of the 1st half was truly legit stuff.

Keep the run going, and keep posting the games.

Fellas really watch that one
One of the best games I have been involved in
Once again, I'm up way too late, but that was fucking awesome.

At this point, I think I'm more surprised when Zach Hawley misses than when Tatum misses. I'm going to need video evidence that he isn't the best freshman in Canada.

Other team was crazy good coming back too.

For those interested, at about 20:30 into the video, the announcers do a biography of our own Canadian legend Impressive stuff Reggie. Hope you and the kids keep enjoying the run.

Yeah I lost it a but when the ball didn't go to him for the FTS. The next play we got it to him and I told his dad I would bet my house he would make both. He has the capacity for work that is rare. Few people want to work as hard as he does, but fewer still can maintain concentration and effort over extended periods. Most players can be productive shooting the ball for 45 minutes to an hour. He can work do a tough 45 minute shooting woikout. Take a drink, Do it again at the same or higher level.

I honestly explored him being a grade 8 eligible last year.

I am thankful to coach these guys as a experienced guy, because you have to let them go. We have lots to learn, but this was out first game that came down to one possession since the pandemioc and our first game with less than a 20 point deficit all year.

So...
We were up 4 going into 4th and video crew decides to take 2 away. So up 2. We had just whethereed their comeback and gone back up 4. Losing the 2 was groin punch.
Turns out h this was based on comments from fans of the other team.
Maybe, even probably we lose, but goddam.
Here is vid that shows we had 59.

How can a video crew just take 2 points away? Unless Canada does things differently from the US the paper book is the official stats, if they had 59 then it's 59.

Well FIBA allows video correction, but it needs to be official. Basically, the tournament organizer assured the refs it was a certainty.
I have never seen a score altered from what the scoresheet said before.

So the book had 59, and the video people just decided it was 57 and changed it without figuring out where this discrepancy was and confirming that it was 100% correct and the ref or the coaches, or apparently the tourney organizer, never asked them to explain how the book could be wrong?

I do official online stats for college, wnba, and g league games, and like the first rule of stats is that the book is always right in any discrepancy (even when you know they aren't) so I don't understand how something like this could ever happen without all parties being 1000% sure that a mistake was made.

Can't be 100 sure, but they had this video capture software that read 9s as 8s. We had nine and banged a three and score in video jumped from 8 to 12, then later another time it was 29 and video said it was 28 and we hit a three. And it went correctly to 32.

So if they knew this then I don't understand how they could go by a video scoreboard that wasn't accurate and not the book. Or how it would even be possible for both teams to not realize a score was wrong for an extended period. I don't even understand how you could have scoreboard software that can't tell an 8 from a 9. Like what does that have to do with the video software at all, did the in arena scoreboard have the right score and the video software have the wrong one?

Update
Your donations amounted to 1700 which was fantastic.
We have not lost since that tough final at BRIT.
We won our own tournament this weekend and head off to LIT.

Here is our guy Zach Hawley's shot chart from our game Friday. (2-2 fts too.) FYI he is probably not available for the final should we advance that far.

That is a link to watch live. Not sure how well it works.

Awesome, congrats to you and your team. Looked like the Bird/Dominique game but with more points from each. Crazy. Also, from probably not available to 44 points?

Congrats to you and your team for a great season so far and good luck in the LIT tournament.

Looks like you have the first game at the LIT at 12:30 (which is not I presume ET), which seems to be a good draw for you if you win as you will be getting the most rest between games.

Good luck to Zach too.

Fiba rules rule (haha!)
20 years ago you had to take stacked teams from Saskatchewan to compete in any USA tournament. But now if you have a travel team (guys are top 2-3 on highschool team) group you find the American kids from states without shot clocks are susceptible to the running and pressing we do.

Quite a contrast last night end of 1st q was 30-21
We hit 18 3s. 2nd most this year.

After the game my assistant said '18 3s, not bad' and we noted Zach, had a quiet night. He made 6 3s. So when he hits 6, we don't notice.
