no way they're giving up the #3 pick for a possible rentalSo is it envisioned Tatum is the centerpiece for George?
How behind are you? Here comes the George deal! Waiting to ensure the Lakers take Ball at 2.
Buckle up boys!! 3 for George and 15.....then flip 15 and Crowder for 7 to select a Smith or Ntilikina.
For one year???!Jaylen brown and lakers pick for George
For a year of PG?I bet Brown is on the table for George.
Crowder and a Memphis pick or they can screw imo. I wouldn't give any top tier assets for a potential one year rental.I bet Brown is on the table for George.
Fuck no, and Danny better not do anything as asinine as this suggestion.Jaylen brown and lakers pick for George
Please tell me this didn't happen...Jaylen brown and lakers pick for George
Not by a mileI hope not. One year is not worth a high lottery pick.
Probably, but it seemed the leaked George rumor coincided with the Tatum announcement. and wondered if they were linked.Seems steep for one year of George, no?
We were already fucked in FA. Ainge knows the landscape.Trading for PG now totally fucks us in FA right??
Rondo has 0 guaranteed money for 2017-18. He is gone or signs a new, lesser deal.Huge win for TWolves I think. Wonder if Bulls will dump Rondo with Dunn on board.
I think that would be an overpay for a 1-year rental. So is it envisioned Tatum is the centerpiece for George?
The Memphis pick may be as great an asset as any of them. Ainge didn't acquire these future lottery tickets to trade without them having a chance to land at #1. The Grizzlies are on the verge of a free fall if things play out right for us.Crowder and a Memphis pick or they can screw imo. I wouldn't give any top tier assets for a potential one year rental.
I think he was proposing, rather than stating. Please tell me this didn't happen...
Yup. The trade deadline rumors had more value. Unless those rumors were wrong, they settled for less.Bulls probably could have had Bradley and the first pick in this year's draft plus another asset or two for Butler this time last year. Oops.
had gained, but...What the hell does it mean to gain siginificant momentum, if they are far apart? I am gaining significant momentum on convincing giselle to leave tom and marry me, but we are far apart on whether that will happen or not.
Hmmmm...Clippers pick? The Memphis pick may be as great an asset as any of them. Ainge didn't acquire these future lottery tickets to trade without them having a chance to land at #1. The Grizzlies are on the verge of a free fall if things play out right for us.
I don't see the two players as conflicting. Jaylen is a large 2/3 IMO while Tatum is a 3/4. If they could swing it, I think Brad and Danny would stock their entire team with guys roughly their size for the switching and small ball potential.I think that would be an overpay for a 1-year rental.
And one of the points of renting Paul George for a year is to make sure that the Lakers don't get him next year, so I'm thinking that Ainge would keep the LAL/SAC pick to keep a chance at 2 of Ayton/Porter/Doncic/Bamba.
Tatum makes Brown potentially surplus, so Brown might be moved -- but Brown's cost-controlled 21-23 years seem like they should be worth more than one year of George.
Danny Ainge blue balls.Holy shit I swear the Celtics are the biggest tease in history. So many empty trade rumors.
Laker yellowThose are the yellowest teeth I've ever seen on television.
Agree in principle, but I don't see them dropping to bottom 9 this season, in which case is it all that valuable? The Memphis pick may be as great an asset as any of them. Ainge didn't acquire these future lottery tickets to trade without them having a chance to land at #1. The Grizzlies are on the verge of a free fall if things play out right for us.
I don't think Brown and Tatum are all that redundant. If anything, Tatum gives Brown more space to isolate and drive, which plays to his strengths.Tatum and Brown are kind of redundant. That is the reason I think Brown may be on the table.
Fox, huh? Magic will grab Smith now.
Ainge has confidence that he can keep him rather than George sacrificing a ton of money to go to LA as a FA. If he wasn't a FA we'd never be in the ballpark with this offer. Why would the Celts give up anything of value for Paul George, given his contract status and supposed desire to play in LA? I'm sure I'm missing something.
Isn't it protected? The Memphis pick may be as great an asset as any of them. Ainge didn't acquire these future lottery tickets to trade without them having a chance to land at #1. The Grizzlies are on the verge of a free fall if things play out right for us.
