Wait what am I missing on the Marchand play? The contact was hip to hip, their skates don't make contact and Marchand is clearly trying to stop which is why his skate is behind the Leafs player's legs. I don't think that's a penalty at all, let alone a suspension. It's just two guys on a 50/50 body contact and one falls awkardly.

As far as the nonsense talk of a suspension, if it were anyone other than 63, I’d like to think everyone would see that he was manipulating his stick to handle the puck and just awkwardly found Liljegren’s left leg. It’s not like the puck was nowhere near their feet.
Right - just an accident - stick mysteriously stuck between his legs and twisted .. ok ..

Marchand’s stick was behind Liljegren’s left leg and swept through, from what I could see. Again, 63 is so deep in Toronto’s collective head he has an astral condo on Yonge.

Also - Liljgren pulls off of playing the puck to engage Marchand. It was actually interference on Liljgren before he took the spill.

Ok on rewatching it I see the stick - at best it's a trip, I didn't see the stick in there the first time. It's not a slew foot and it's not a suspension by any means.

Yeah I missed that the first time.

This is very true as well. Tough to get hit and be at fault when you're stronger than the other guy.

I like the uni's, but I dont like the brown helmets. The color just sticks out like a sore thumb to me.

congrats to the 25 people who were able to see Lohrei's first nhl point!
I’m so annoyed. The first night I’ve really gone out in 6 weeks due to a fractured foot and of course the game can’t be on TV. Was it a run of the mill picking moving assist or did he do something cool?

I much prefer the other whites this year. And I love the blacks this year. I think both are better than their regular unis.

He passed it to Carlo who did most of the subsequent work. So if you like simple D-to-D, tape-to-tape passes (and boy do I!), it was rad.

Just a generic pass but it was done well. Very smooth, to the correct spot.

Swayman’s gonna have to be huge. No McAvoy or Forbort, Carlo in the box, they’re going to have to rely on defensemen that don’t get Pk time here.

Bout fucking time. Been like five interference penalties the last five minutes.

Did they really just say something about Pasta having the most goals from that face-off dot? They forget about Ovie?

That was hellacious pressure in the last 5 minutes by the Bruins. Sucks they couldn’t convert one, but getting to OT with a thin D-corps against the Leafs has been huge.
