Someone should ask Neely what his relationship with the league office is. He’s obviously not doing enough there.

Why oh why does Monty dress this useless Brown? Lauko is so much better at all aspects of the game. I just can't see what Monty thinks 38 is going to bring to the game. And how many minutes did he play? What a waste! We sure could have used another fast skating forechecker tonight.

Two high-sticking calls where the Ranger drew the Bruin’s stick up into their face and acted injured, Carlo delivers a garden-variety slot shove and the Ranger dives, Fox strategically dove across a pair of sticks to draw a call on a 1 on 3 rush.

What did I miss? Infuckingfuriating and always the way against these guys.

For the record, nobody calling the game mentioned what a terrible position Lindgren put himself in; lunging low for the puck while presenting your back like that is a bad, bad choice by him. Swayman should have pitched the shutout but zebras got deeply, deeply involved tonight.

it started well before that.

It FEELS like the Bruins have been getting fucked the last 2-3 years, at least.
It started after the licking incident. It’s been made worse this year when they made him captain. Neely really needs to address this with the league office.

I don’t disagree with your broader point but getting hit in the face with a stick hurts the same whether it’s your own or someone else’s.

Of course, but from what I saw on the replays, there was no cause for even flinching in either case. Refs need to weigh cause into effect. If you yourself raise your opponents stick to your own face, that’s not an infraction on your opponent. This was the case in Lindholm’s high-sticking call as well as Pastrnak’s. And the towel for Lindgren’s barely visible ouchie was a nice bit of ensemble work by all involved.

Here is the presser -- Monty had some choice words for the refs about Pasta (first two minutes) and Freddy had some things to say about the "baseball swing" to the head from the previous game vs the Rangers in the last 30 seconds of the video. Worth the look.

Thanks for this — he could’ve been stronger on the theme but he’s saying the things his team most needs to hear, which is what he should do. But seems that three out of four or five games this team incurs 6 or 7 penalties, half of which are specious and not reflective of the standard to which their opponents are held. (Shakes fist at passing cumulo-nimbus).
