Today I finally made the decision to drop Jake DeBrusk off of my fantasy hockey team.

Why is that relevant you ask?

Well every time I drop a slumping player in fantasy, they go on a tear!

So here’s the start of Jake’s goal scoring streak!

A few thoughts:
Morgan Geekie is getting decent opportunities by skating.
Lohrei just got suckered into a bad shot that was blocked by the opposing player 4 feet in front of him. He was showing shot, and they played shot and he should have dumped the puck to someone else instead of waiting while his shooting odds kept getting worse and then just throwing an absolute weak prayer. Lohrei seems like he locks in to a decision and other opponents can take advantage of that.

Nice bounce back effort so far. Needed that kick in the ass last night. They haven't been playing well but getting points. Until last night. Good to see.

Where is all this great playing by the Bruins that their announcers have been telling us about?

This is some Boolsheet. That was not a penalty. Wouldn’t call 3 in a row on the Wild in period 1 despite a denied scoring chance and now having no difficulty putting the shoe on the other foot. Wotherspoon got tripped in the corner.

Lohrei’s a skilled and confident skater trying to find which tricks in his bag will play up here and hopefully he’s paying close attention to the results. Despite his struggles, I like his reach, his edges and his moxie — I can see him making big leaps, this year.

I'm not an apologist for the Bs in that they are not playing well. But the trip on Marchy really could've made a difference -- while MN is getting the benefit of the doubt. The replay on the Marchy non-call not only clearly revealed the trip but also the ref RIGHT THERE looking at it. So why did he not call it? Its frustrating to say the least, and it does lead, rightly or not, to the inevitable conspiracy theories. Not a good look for the NHL, but that ship has sailed.

They’re going to get the wrong end of the officiating every night. They gotta figure out a way to overcome it. Can’t use it as an excuse.

And they can’t wait for a trade because it’s going to be really tough to do one. McAvoy & Lindholm have to be much better than they’ve been this week.

Carlo is the one who put that PP goal past Linus.

Geekie has inherited the Daniel Paille mantle of getting the most clean and ultimately fruitless breaks in on net.

Who will show Lindholm the way Bruins defensemen of yore patrolled the slot? He needs to watch some tape.

He obviously wouldn’t be allowed to play like that, but just watch how defenseman his size do that now. Because what he’s doing isn’t good enough.

The other guy on O is Jake. I mean we are nearing the halfway point and he has 4 goals.

The biggest problem right now is our top defenseman are getting pushed around in the crease like the Patriots offensive line. Everyone in the league knows they don’t push back now.

Look at the difference between how Minnesota’s defenseman are protecting the crease and how the Bruins are? It’s night and day.
