“This is so weird”

Whenever I’m feeling bad about NFL refs the NBA guys come along

St John's, NL
LMAO Brunson ruins himself stepping on Fast PPs foot.

Couldn't happen to a nicer franchise. Throw the Knicks in a dumpster and push it into the harbor.

It’s at the commissioner’s feet, same as it was when Joey Crawford was tossing guys for smiling at him wrong. Silver is a Stern man through and through. The refs would never be this cavalier with constant game-altering Ts if it weren’t sanctioned or encouraged from the top.

Unfortunately it will continue to suck for us because now there’s a reputation even if it is a self-fulfilling prophecy perpetrated by the officials themselves.

Replace the refs with all the guys who ref professional soccer. They won’t be that much better at the job but they’ll be much better at brushing off a little whining without kicking the meanies off the court.

These “pool reports” with officials are becoming more absurd by the day
Pool Report on the Ejection of Jaylen Brown in the Fourth Quarter of Tonight’s New York Knicks at Boston Celtics Game
December 8, 2023
The Pool Report interview was conducted by Adam Himmelsbach (Boston Globe) with Crew Chief Mark Lindsay following tonight’s Knicks at Celtics game.

QUESTION:
What warranted Jaylen Brown getting the first technical?
LINDSAY: The first technical foul was called for use of profanity toward a game official.

QUESTION: What warranted the second technical on Jaylen?
LINDSAY: The second technical foul was called for a wave off directed at the official which under the respect of the game guidelines is considered an overt gesture and an unsportsmanlike act.

Oh no! He waved at the official! Wont somebody think of the children!

i think NBA Officials are trying to out suck NFL officials for the worst officiating i have ever seen in a league.

He waved at a ref? What are we even doing anymore?
Isn’t t his what some around here want? Technicals for any gesture or arguments with a ref.. after the Tatum ejection didn’t a few posters say refs should be allowed to hand out techs for any whining because that would then change everything about how players act?

The NBA is now a league of officials that are basically nameless and spineless… all of the absurdity of power hungry refs of the past with none of the charisma or personality or long term experience.
