Great tourney. Glad for Tim Corbin. What a job he's done. Thanks to Dog for all the time spent making this easier for all of us. Labor of love yes, but it's still labor. I appreciate it.

Tough stuff, but still amazing to see what O'Connor has done with the program. Crazy that a HR off Howard was the final blow.

That 9-run inning will loom for a long time. I love my alma mater, but being a UVA fan just blows

I tweeted Rob Anderson (Creighton SID and CWS press guru) to see if this is the first time a CWS champ has been crowned on the same day of an MLB no-hitter. Haven't heard back yet.

@DAVIDprice14: Hahahahaha I'm so happy right now!!! This is unreal...haha yesssss yessss yessss yessss!!!!!! #anchordown #vandybaseball
Vandy's starter (fulmer) tonight was a spaz and so annoying to watch (bitched about so many pitches that weren't even close to being strikes). Maybe he's the price dbag heir apparent.

Yes, I'm bitter

Texas Tech catcher Elliot Richoux died yesterday in a swimming accident at Lake Conroe, TX. He was just a couple of weeks from his 22nd birthday.

He wasn't part of this year's CWS team, but played for the Red Raiders last season after transferring from Howard College, a Texas JUCO, where he was a 2nd-team NJCAA All-American.

URI head coach Jim Foster will resign tomorrow to take a position as Boston College's top assistant under Mike Gambino. The hire is being roundly praised by media types on Twitter, and for good reason.

Foster just finished his 10th season at the helm, and despite scholarship limitations he's managed to put some damn competitive teams on the field. He replaces Scott Friedholm, who left BC to take the head coaching job at UNC-Asheville.

Monte Lee interviewed with Arizona State and as a result got a 7 year extension and annual raise from 100k to 190k from College of Charleston. It was reported that ASU never made an offer' but who knows what was happening behind the scenes. Lee deserves it and they're glad he's staying.
