The actual question was, "Which five QB would you rather have next season?" Age could certainly be a factor next season for Brady and Palmer, not so much for Roethlisberger and Rodgers.
I wouldn't take Palmer over Luck in 2016. That's aggressive. I would take Brady, Newton, and Wilson over Luck for 2016. And that is it. Just one man's opinion. I think the Colts hatred is throwing a shroud over how good Luck is and can be and I respect that. I hate the franchise, I hate the owner, I hate Payton, and I am not a fan of Luck. But he's good. The discussion started by discussing the team's performance this year and a comment was made that they lost their top 5 QB to injury.
For next year and next year only, I would gladly take both Brady and Palmer over Luck.
Really? Palmer was really, really good this year. Unless you figure on a big drop-off for some reason, a repeat of his 2015 next year is better than Luck has ever produced.I wouldn't take Palmer over Luck in 2016. That's aggressive.
Palmer was amazing this year but it'll be hard to repeat heading into his age 37 season. I would take Luck over him for the next year but it's close.Really? Palmer was really, really good this year. Palmer was coming off an injury in 2014. That didn't seem to hamper him much.Luck will also be coming off of injury next year.
If luck said anything vaguely interpretable as "Grigson and Pagano are the guys I want to shape my legacy," he deserves everything he gets over the next ringless, injury-plagued ten years.Luck has spoken?
Agreed. But the only two ways one could end up here (I think) are Luck making clear he wants continuity, or Irsay being back on pills. If luck said anything vaguely interpretable as "Grigson and Pagano are the guys I want to shape my legacy," he deserves everything he gets over the next ringless, injury-plagued ten years.
He's got a really good excuse now for why his career will continue to track along Matt Stafford levels other than being overrated. If luck said anything vaguely interpretable as "Grigson and Pagano are the guys I want to shape my legacy," he deserves everything he gets over the next ringless, injury-plagued ten years.
Probably because no one else is going to give him a head coaching gig right now. This makes no sense on every level. Grigson is a horrible GM in his own right. His relationship with Pagano is apparently toxic. And even if nutty Irsay decided to keep both and try to make it work, why would Pagano want to stay?
I'm not sure that's trueProbably because no one else is going to give him a head coaching gig right now.

Does that record include the games Arians coached?Kevin Seifert NFL Nation
In four years of Chuck Pagano's program, the Colts have gone 41-23 and reached the playoffs three times. They were 8-8 this season with a QB carousel. Multiple teams would have lined up to hire Pagano had the Colts not given him a contract extension tonight. It's deserved. Hopefully the drama in Indianapolis can end.

21-19 (using Seifert's numbers) but your point isn't wrongI love this: 20-4 in the last 4 years against a division who went a combined 60-128. They were 21-22 against everyone else. This is with a top 5 QB. This is not deserved and he is not a good coach.
Ahhh, math. Math.21-19 (using Seifert's numbers) but your point isn't wrong
Andrew Luck is 3-13 on the road against winning teams.I love this: 20-4 in the last 4 years against a division who went a combined 60-128. They were 21-22 against everyone else and this is all with a top 5 QB. This is not deserved and he is not a good coach.
The man is certainly no stranger to hyperbole. GRIT!ProFootballTalk @ProFootballTalk 14m14 minutes ago
Pagano: "This is absolutely the best day of my life."

Sure beats surviving cancer
#Colts owner Jim Irsay: "Bill Polian is going into the Hall of Fame. His first four years, Ryan (Grigson) has outdone him."
The thing is, Houston is already a better team and if Jacksonville keeps improving, even the divisional dominance is going to go away.Ahhh, math. Math.
