For 1 pick he's gone at 11Poetl keeps the Sabonis at 16 dream slightly alive.

Really not the best to look at that listJared Sullinger
Fab Melo
Kelly Olynyk
Marcus Smart
James Young
Terry Rozier
R.J. Hunter
Jaylen Brown
Bucks taking Thon Maker? Wot?
More for me, bless my soul. Somebody believed Maker's birth date?Maker at 10 is great for 16. One extra guy sliding.
Yup. He's going to be a pretty extreme case too, moreso than most stats vs. scouts guys, given how much the stats models hate him.Brown is going to be the "stats vs scout/upside" poster boy for the next few years. He doesn't project well with a lot of computer models, so someone's gonna get to throw out a lot of "told you so's".
To be fair, everyone except Smart was a mid-late first round pick. You would expect a collection of role players and rotation guys.Really not the best to look at that list
A lot of those picks are teens or above from crappy drafts.Really not the best to look at that list
Also Sully and Olynyk were good picks produced better value than slot. Fab only clear bust with Young closing in.A lot of those picks are teens or above from crappy drafts.
A lot of scouts (at least that I've read) are pretty bearish on Brown too. But the upside point is undeniable.Yup. He's going to be a pretty extreme case too, moreso than most stats vs. scouts guys, given how much the stats models hate him.
This. Plus we're already making a call on Rozier, who clearly made good strides over the course of last year.To be fair, everyone except Smart was a mid-late first round pick. You would expect a collection of role players and rotation guys.
Hammond's Folly*OMG...Thon Maker 10th. LOL
Until he draft's Brice...Lot of excuses for Danny's terrible drafting record.
Unless it's so that Jaylen can feel better about his college career, then yes.Am I crazy for wanting Skal to fall to 16?
this is greatWyc gets REALLY fired up on draft night and pretty much loses his mind. Don't know if you were around a decade ago but I sent him an email blasting him and he responded by blasting me back. I woke up the next morning with an apology and 4 club seats for us at a game that he sent to my Dad with a nice letter.
Oof. That hurts no doubt.Too depressed to type it out but check Woj's Twitter page
For me, it is more the Fab Melo pick. Complete waste. Ainge also drafted Rozier and Hunter the year after drafting Smart. His picks when standing on their own aren't as bad, but unfortunately as far as team building goes, it has been pretty bad.This. Plus we're already making a call on Rozier, who clearly made good strides over the course of last year.
Unquestionably. If the Bulls trade butler for Dunn, Ainge deserves all the criticism.
Agree 100%If the Bulls trade butler for Dunn, Ainge deserves all the criticism.
Not if Chicago REALLY loves LaVine with him.If the Bulls trade butler for Dunn, Ainge deserves all the criticism.
For Sabonis?Adrian Wojnarowski @WojVerticalNBA 15s15 seconds ago
Oklahoma City has traded Serge Ibaka to the Orlando Magic, league sources told @TheVertical.
Brown is going to be the "stats vs scout/upside" poster boy for the next few years. He doesn't project well with a lot of computer models, so someone's gonna get to throw out a lot of "told you so's".
This isn't someone like Vlade Divac making this pick though. Ainge has always been at the forefront of analytics. There are circumstances where models cannot possibly factor in and the one Brown was in as a 19-year old freshman seems to me like it is one of them where traditional scouting carries much greater weight.Yup. He's going to be a pretty extreme case too, moreso than most stats vs. scouts guys, given how much the stats models hate him.

WowAdrian Wojnarowski @WojVerticalNBA now
Orlando will send Victor Oladipo, Ersan Ilyasova and rights to Sabonis to the Thunder, sources said.
Bulls want Dunn so think the dream is overHoping that Ainge is still making a run at Butler at this point. If Crowder is the sticking point, then that will be infuriating.
For JUST Serge? Seems steep.Adrian Wojnarowski @WojVerticalNBA now

That would have been too much. Take out the 2017 Nets' pick and put in 2018 and that would have been a good deal. 2017 draft is where the Celts find their star.Again I'm trusting a former college roommate who basically works as a gopher at the tribune . Chicago wanted #3 and 2017 Nets pick, plus crowder and Bradley for butler. Again take it as grain of salt based on who's it's from. He claims it'll come out soon as bulls apparently asking for Dunn,Lavine(who they love) and Dieng
