I know we’ll know in a moment, but I’m interested in your reasoning.Looks like it’s gonna be Casas.
Platter BallTrey Ball's brother is available
Casas will play first base, not third...say the scouting reports. The way Devers is going, how fast can we bring him up?
It's all downhill from hereI’ve loved Casas ever since I first heard of him, three minutes ago.
His rank in the Sox farm system? Could be. That really depends upon Groome's recovery from surgery. But top 3 to 4 for sure.
I'd say at least 5 - I seem to remember Houck debuting there last year on SoxProspects - but the system is so shitty now, it wouldn't surprise me to see him even higherFor those of you who are much more into prospects, where would he rank in this farm system today?
U Miami signee and said he was a Hurricane fan since birth...but yeah, he looked ready to go straight to Fort Meyers.Certainly isn’t being coy about signing or going to college. Seems pumped to be drafted by Sox
They say the same about Devers.Casas will play first base, not third...say the scouting reports.

Similar, but not quite. If I remember correctly, Devers was projected as being passable at third base, but scouts said he would need to eventually move to first. They say the same about Devers.
That’s disgusting.Similar, but not quite. If I remember correctly, Devers was projected as being passable at third base, but scouts said he would need to eventually move to first.
The article I read on Casas seemed less optimistic about his ability to play third in the majors. But hey, they kid was born in 2000, the 21st century and is so young almost anything can happen.
Yes, we are officially older than dirt. That’s disgusting.
Hopefully with greater success than Lars AndersonCasas will play first base, not third...say the scouting reports.

Last year of the 20th century, you mean. But hey, they kid was born in 2000, the 21st century
I remember when dirt was just starting out. Back in my day we had lava and in it was good enough for us.Yes, we are officially older than dirt.
For me, Casas was the most intriguing guy that the Red Sox were linked to over the past couple of months. I read an article about him on Baseball America describing his approach and intangible stuff. It's a puff piece, of course, but he certain seems like a kid with a good head on his shoulders and you can't teach 70 grade raw power.

He’s still raking - 708 OPS with the Sox last year.Hopefully with greater success than Lars Anderson
Both my children were born before him.Yes, we are officially older than dirt.
