I, too, am a fan of free speech.I'm a Speech fan, but it's got to burn him that he's never won in singles
Plus, with guys like Zalatoris and Wolff coming up, the US team might actually be stronger in the next 10 years. They have to prove it on the road in Europe, but the US is set up to dominate in the coming years. DJ is the oldest player at 37 and the rest of them are early thirties or younger. Europe is getting old and doesn't have the young talent in the pipeline. They've got the horses in Rahm, Rory and Hovland but I think depth is going to be an issue. Westwood is done, Poulter is probably done, Casey has maybe 1 more. Sergio is 41 so probably 2-3 left for him. There aren't a ton of young players knocking at the door to take their places.
Wolff won't be a Ryder Cup player. His game is too boom and bust, he won't get the points to quality. In his last 10 starts, he's missed 6 cuts.Plus, with guys like Zalatoris and Wolff coming up, the US team might actually be stronger in the next 10 years.
That putt at The Open is still seared into my memory. Europeans shouldn't concede anything to him over 12 inches. Give me Sam Burns instead...Wolff won't be a Ryder Cup player. His game is too boom and bust, he won't get the points to quality. In his last 10 starts, he's missed 6 cuts.
Zalatoris definitely could be, however.
I don’t think they will collapse the concept of the President’s Cup (which is where players outside of Europe, including Asia, go against the US) just because one Ryder Cup was a blowout. This is when they start letting Asian players join the fray. No?
Wolff is only 22 years old. I think he's got a lot of great golf ahead of him. I wouldn't be at all shocked if he's on a future Ryder Cup team. If not Italy, maybe Bethpage.Wolff won't be a Ryder Cup player. His game is too boom and bust, he won't get the points to quality. In his last 10 starts, he's missed 6 cuts.

Related, did you notice the ad for the LPGA late in the Ryder Cup broadcast? All they showed was non-Asians. Not very reflective of today's LPGA.Agreed. My comment was [somewhat] tongue-in-cheek.
Normal people don't play from the tees they play at. I was there Saturday and Sunday, and got to play the course yesterday from mixed tees. We played 18 from the way backs just because and its the hardest par 4 I've ever payed in my life. Nobody in our group reached the fairway. It was incredible standing on the 5th tee and looking at the line Bryson took...it literally didn't even make sense. My line was easily 120 yards left of that, into the fairway. They left the same hole locations as well, so that shot into 12 was basically impossible. That area in the back of that green is so tiny you pretty much cant fit your entire group on it at one time. It was a super fun experience all around, and made me appreciate what those guys can do even more.I don’t understand how normal people can play this course. It looks like it would be miserable
Holy moly, that sounds like an amazing 3 days!!!! I was at the PGA at WS on the Sunday when DJ grounded his club in the "bunker" on 18...so, what, like, 11 years ago? And it was just such an amazing course visually, but I also remember thinking, "How could a regular person like me even think about playing a course like this??" Answer: I couldn't, not as it was set up then, or now. But it sure was fun to picture it in my mind while walking the course, and I imagine it was so awesome to actually try to play it how it was set up for guys who hit it 325 off the tee...let alone Bryson.Normal people don't play from the tees they play at.
