If these scores hold (PHI over ORL, CLE over IND, MIA over TOR), 76ers are very likely avoiding the play-in and it might be possible the Heat do too.

Actually I think I'm wrong, because a 3-team tiebreaker (ORL, IND, PHI would be all 46-35) starts with any division winner, which would be Orlando.... theN Pacers won head to head against the 76ers...

... so 76ers would still be the 7 seed

Haliburton ruining his own season, fouling Strus on a 3 point attempt (that would've been a brick), just completely trucking him.

They've played good D on some possessions, too, but other times they can't stop a nosebleed.

Bucks in real danger to lose the 2 seed. They hold the tiebreaker, but they play in Orlando, while the Knicks play the Bulls, who have nothing to play for.

Really silly to me that 76ers are still #7, but as stated they have every chance to get up to 6+. Magic are a bleh team right now.

No Giannis though will make that game potentially spicy.

Knicks are locked into the other side now with the Bucks (we can’t play both), and Sixers have a real shot of avoiding the play in. If we could get Sixers 6 and Knicks 3rd, that would be my ideal scenario.

If Magic lose their next two games (including 7-8 play-in) and everyone else wins their remaining games (including Miami 7-8 play-in), it would be exactly this.
You mean 2/3/6/7 ~Knicks/Bucks/Sixers/Heat being in play? With Celts/Cavs/Pacers/Magic on the other side?

Bucks will also be playing for the 2 seed now, so they have something to play for against Orlando. No Giannis, though.

Need the Wolves to win here.

Or do we want them to lose? I’m not up on my West tiebreakers.

Nuggets had something to play for with #1 seed on the line, were clearly trying to win this game, had a 23 point lead, and will probably lose this one. What a league

Both Thunder and Wolves have H2H tiebreakers over Denver, but in a 3-way tie, I don’t know how it shakes out.

OKC wins the 3 way tie. They have the best H2H record in games among the 3 teams and win the division, and then by virtue of winning the division they win the 3 way tie for seeding.

Minnesota squeaks by the Hawks. Western Conference is must-watch-tv the rest of this season.

Nuggets have the easiest game left by far (@ Memphis), but they lose out on the 1 seed if either Minn (vs. Phx) or OKC (vs. Dal) win. Nuggets the 3 seed if all 3 win or lose, I believe.

Looks to me like Suns have big incentive to play whereas Mavs are locked into the 5, unless I am missing something. Mavs lose tiebreak with Clips, whereas Suns win theirs vs Pelicans.

I’m showing Sixers as 6 seed now. But a lot is going to happen Sunday. I think we want Orlando to win, Sixers to win, Heat to win, and Indy to lose.

This isn’t correct, if MIL/NY/CLE all tie, NY is 4th.

Both NBA.com and ESPN have Philly as the 7th seed. There was a brief moment between Philly winning and Indy losing where it was Philly 6 and Orlando 7, but that flipped after the Pacers lost. Crazy stuff.

This is crazy.

The sturm and drang from folks about the Celtics losing a game they didn't care about to a hungry Knicks team blows my mind when you see shit like this happen. Nuggets wanted that game and blew a 23-point lead! Sometimes in the NBA the other team hits a fuckton of 3s and you lose even when you shoot 50% and only turn the ball over 7 times and put up 31 assists.

Its a competitive league. I love it

The Warriors really like their small lineups. 3rd quarter of a really important game, they're playing CP3 (6'0), Curry (6'2), Pods (6'5), Moody (6'6) and Draymond (6'6). Draymond plays bigger than his size, but the other guys not so much.

GS falls just short of a comeback against NO. It looked like the Pelicans had put the game away (12 point lead with just under 3 minutes left), and Curry exploded with 10 points in 2 minutes, but missed a three 13 seconds left that would've tied it. If any shot made by a red hot Steph Curry can be considered awful, this would be it. Warriors fall back down to 10th, and the Lakers will have moved out of the 9/10 matchup if the Kings lose (playing the Suns, close in the 4th).

Warriors and Kings both lose, and the Lakers now stand alone in the 8th spot. Not a shocking result given today's matchups (Lakers were playing the Grizzlies who have been on vacation for 3 months while GS/SAC played teams fighting for their playoff lives), but incredible considering a few hours ago the Lakers were staring down the barrel of needing to win two straight road games, for the pleasure of playing the Nuggets in Round 1. Amazing day for the Lakers.

MIL/NY/CLE can all still end up anywhere from 2-4:

- Milwaukee will be the second seed if it beats Orlando; New York will be if it beats Chicago and Orlando beats Milwaukee; Cleveland will be if it beats Charlotte and both New York and Milwaukee lose.

- New York will be the third seed if the Bucks and Knicks both win. Milwaukee will be the third seed if the Knicks win and the Bucks and Cavaliers lose. Cleveland will be the third seed if the Cavaliers win and the Knicks win and Bucks lose.

- Cleveland will be the fourth seed if it loses or the Cavaliers, Bucks and Knicks all win. Milwaukee will be fourth if New York and Cleveland win and the Bucks lose. New York will be fourth if Knicks and Bucks lose and Cavaliers win.

Shocking how things always work out for them.

And now they’ll get the Thunder while avoiding Wolves and Nuggets. Damnit.

Lakers still have to beat the pels on the road.

I think the suns have the tiebreaker so the pels arent laying down. They dont want to drop into the play in.
