Obvious, but both of these teams stink on ice. Why is Chicago allergic to the pick and roll? Meanwhile, the Heat just have no one exciting on offense except Herro.
Or they can just pass it to anyone guarded by White. I didn't know he was this bad defensively, he plays on skates.
They need to exorcise the demons.
I don’t know if this was declared a Drummon v. Love retirement match before the game a la WWF but clear who would be out of the business after this one.
JFC, Drummond came in with 2:15 left with Chicago down 14, and he was just awful. Two turnovers, a missed shot, and a braindead foul with 2 seconds left in the quarter, just handing the Heat free points since they were in the bonus (and now it's a 22 point deficit, basically game over). Any second he's on the court and isn't actually grabbing a rebound is spent murdering his own team (at least he hasn't injured any teammates yet today).
I feel like we are frighteningly not far removed from people here pining forthe Celtics to bring him in for “size” and “rebounding.”
I am sick of these assholes quite honestly, but the Celtics should win without too much issue. This Heat team isn’t very good, especially without Butler. Spo isn’t currently in possession of a magic wand.
The funny thing about this godawful performance is the Bulls have two midrange kings that should be decent zone busters but just too many mistakes and too many misses.
It seems pretty likely that we'll lose a game at some point in the playoffs because the other team goes crazy on the offensive glass (especially if we get the Knicks in the ECF), and there will be a few pining for Drummond once again.
They'll be fine next year when LaVine and Ball come back. No need to make any changes, this roster is ready to compete (for the 8th seed) now.
Yeah except if the Heat steal just one game this forum and the entirety of Boston sports media will be at Defcon 1 billionty
I think you underestimate the ability of everyone to freak out any time Miami goes on a 6-0 run.
That's a great point. Any run will cause panic. Mazzulla may not make a quarter before someone pines for a Doc or another *experienced* coach.
I’m not worried. Celtics in 7 after a 3OT win where Tyler Herro’s game tying three is called back because his toe was on the line.
I think I’m, at age 41 and 5’7, like 80% as likely to play in a future NBA game as Lonzo Ball.
Except their festering STDs and Axe body spray smell may rub off on the Celtics. There isn't enough PPE in the world to protect those exposures.
I will already own that this understates my personal level of anxiety by an order of magnitude.

I'm more worried that the C's may hurt themselves because they're so ready to kick the crap out of other teams in the playoffs.. they've been building up to sunday for the whole season.
So the Heat win without Butler and the Pelicans are up 12 without Zion. I realize that in a single game anything can happen, but I declared both these teams dead when the injuries happened.
Sacto is kind of struggling on both ends save for Fox. They are losing the turnover battle and can't do much against the Pelicans clampy jaws.
