I believe it’s now a three-game series with OKC, all at home, starting tomorrow night. Series appears to be Tues-Thurs-Monday (if necessary). So who do they play next and when?
I watched the second half. Apparently Maine was up by double digits for a bit in the first, but the lead was cut to 5 at the half.Super fun game. It was a one point game after three, with the Cs only scoring 13 in the third quarter; then they put up 38 in the 4th and just blew the doors off the place.
Queta is a man among boys in the G League - 19 boards tonight, 16 points, 2 blocks, 2 steals, 2 assists and just one foul. Plus an absolutely back-breaking three to put the dagger in.
JD the LION was a +24 in the game, with 19 points, 11 assists, 3 steals, 2 blocks ... and we'll just overlook the 5 turnovers (he's sloppy with the ball still; it kills me).
Story of the game, though, is probably DJ Steward - just lit it up from 3 in the fourth, with 27 points overall. He got red hot.
Walsh had a big 4th as well, with 10 points in the quarter and an electric steal and dunk that got the crowd nuts. Of any of the players, he seemed to want it the most. So fired up for the win.
And, hey, I got to watch a trophy presentation. That's always a good time.
Thanks for the summary. I don't understand the 9 PM start. So, Baby Cs can't close it out, losing 99-89, in one of their worst scoring performances of the year. Queta has 13 boards, but just 1-6 shooting and 4 points. JD was 3-8 from 3 (not terrible), but 1-10 from 2, which is terrible. Drew put up 29 on 10-19 shooting as the big bright spot, but DJ Steward, who was hot as hell in the last two games, puts up a 4-16 stinker, and it's now on to Game 3 for all the marbles.
When the city of Portland gets a winner-take-all championship game, I'm going to have to go to that. But 9 p.m. is brutal.

TV gets what it wants. Why it wants a 9 pm start, though, is beyond me.Thanks for the summary. I don't understand the 9 PM start.
It probably is TV, but my first thought was that they already had something scheduled there, like indoor baseball practice for Deering High. The Expo is in demand!TV gets what it wants. Why it wants a 9 pm start, though, is beyond me.
I was planning on going, but where tickets 48 hours ahead of time were $19 for the semifinals, they were mostly sold out and secondary prices ridiculous for this game, which is good, I guess, but too rich for me and the boy. Plus, 9p start time is ridiculous. So is anyone going to be there tonight?
I hope the Celtics are running a party bus up from team facilities in Brighton to Portland, and front row tonight will include some roster members (alongside Wyc, who I think said yesterday on air that he would be there). Just to show the Stay Ready crew that there are a lot of eyeballs on them, and their hard work matters and is respected.
Wow. Get-in price $104 for singles, $157 for seats together on SeatGeek right now. Bet Maine hasn't seen a ticket price like that since Xander played for the Sea Dogs.I was planning on going, but where tickets 48 hours ahead of time were $19 for the semifinals, they were mostly sold out and secondary prices ridiculous for this game, which is good, I guess, but too rich for me and the boy. Pretty baller to admit that by the end they were resting the G league starters in the C’s/Wizards game lolNot a good 2nd quarter for the Maine Celtics but the Brad Stevens interview at halftime is interesting.
