A really good player is going to fall to the Pats at 34. The big question is, do they take the BPA who is falling (even if it's a defensive player like Verse or DeJean), or go for need and take a tackle/WR?

At this rate it might very well be the case that there's a huge discrepancy between defensive and offensive talent available at that spot.

I’m an old fart who remembers Kiper, DrZ, and Berman doing it on a Thursday afternoon. Agree, would take that over the spectacle any day.
I was home recovering from chicken pox and watched the entire first round of the 1987 draft. The broadcast was by and for people with a nerdy interest in football back in those days.

I just hope it's an OT (Mims, Guyton).

Gotta wonder if the rules have been bent too far towards QBs.
I think it’s more that there are truly some horrific QB1s in the NFL in 2023, particularly after so many big injuries.

I also think if everyone is prioritizing something the value says too lean the other way and stack up on high end talent elsewhere.
