Braves finally putting some pressure on Bello in the 4th. An Albies double after a long at bat, and the Harris pops what was actually a pretty good looking sinker into left field for a single. 1st and 3rd no outs.
Another single from Arcia, but a ground out to second for Kelenic ends the inning. Strong 4 innings of work for the newly minted millionaire.
And it's spring. And he's coming off the toe surgery so why push it?
Then there's Cron, who is not assured of a spot, jogging down the line on a ball that maybe he can beat? I know he's no burner but with the way the Yankees have played defense today, why not try?
FIVE strong innings against the Braves (mostly) regulars for Bello now. During the day, no less. Very encouraging start. His sinker looks spectacular.

Followed up with a bloop single, a balk, an 2 K's. He throws 3/4, was hitting his spots for the most part, and looked filthy at times. Level of competition aside, his stuff looked very good. NESN showed Bailey paying pretty close attention from the dugout.
There's something about this Meidroth kid that makes me really hope he succeeds. It will probably need to be in another organization, sadly, but I really like the way he plays.
Could be a valuable super sub type depending on what the future holds for Devers.
