2 points clinches the President's Trophy. The Blue Jackets are trying to lose and are giving up more than 5 goals a game this month.

Greer and Grzelyck out; Lauko and Zboril in.

Marchand - Bergeron - DeBrusk
Zacha - Krejci - Pastrnak
Bertuzzi - Coyle - Frederic
Lauko - Nosek - Hathaway

Orlov - McAvoy
Lindholm - Carlo
Zboril - Clifton

Ullmark

Second straight start for Ullmark. May be getting him ready for the playoff grind.

I think Ullmark plays CLB, at STL (4/2), TOR (4/6), NJD (4/8), and WAS(4/11).
Sway gets at Pit (4/1), at PHI (4/9) and at Mon (4/31)

I've heard that Ullmark will get 3 straight to simulate the playoffs.

The 3 game stretch on 4/2, 4/6, and 4/8 seems like a good stretch to do that. 2 playoff teams, but some rest between games and only the first one on the road.

I still would be in favor of just rotating the goalies in the playoffs until there's a reason not to.
Was having this discussion the other day with my dad, I tend to agree. But what happens if Ully shits the bed in game one and Sway posts a shutout in game two? Is that enough of a reason “not to”? I’d almost be tempted to just tell them you play until you lose, simple as that, and we rotate like that all playoffs.

What worked early in the season: first man takes the puck deep, rest take positions .
What isn't working now: stacking 4 at the line and trying to sneak a 5th player through.

Blue Jackets broadcast has this weird puck trail graphic... takes a bit to get used to... keep thinking it's a stick on the ice...

I feel like the power play stats would be less bad but Bergeron keeps missing the net with golden bumper shots.

But then again there's that. Boneheaded turnovers.

That was a horrible defensive play by Mcavoy. No reason to leave the open guy driving to the net.

The expected goals look good, but their overall execution is just off. I can't really fault them, they don't really have anything meaningful to play for right now.

NESN's audio is all kinds of off. Jack and Brick are desynced like crazy.

Uncle Nick is a great addition to the booth tho

right here
maybe they figured the hit was bad enough giving them a 5 minute power play would be excessive punishment?
