Is Reyes that bad of a SS on D that Hamilton keeps getting the starts there? Hamilton is a better 2B than SS, Valdez can really only play 2B, and Grissom is back soon and Romy is hurt. This MI is kind of a jumbled disaster right now.

Random Rainy Night Ruminations:

This line-up is making the sky cry.

No one has commented at all on my last 4 poems. Maybe, I'm slumping like Dalbec.

I always change hats after every loss, and for the first time, I am wearing a brand new blue and yellow one. Hope it works.

I may have damaged my eyes during the eclipse Monday. Watching TV has been painful. Though this could just be Red Sox related. They've been hard to watch.

Win.

I know we can’t have a backup all star at every position, but how about a competent defensive player? At a few positions at least?

This is an absolute embarrassment for the whole organization. Figure out at least a below average solution to this problem.

Harold Reynolds on MLB Network: "I'd bring up Mayer right now."

Not so sure about that, but anything's got to be better than this.

I'm starting to think I might have picked a shitty year to decide i wanted to pick back up an everyday interest in following baseball again.

Good news is that Reid Detmers is going to allow negative 2 runs to this offense, so keeping them at 0 never really mattered anyway.

At this point, just find a SS who can field and bat him 9th. The toll this is going to take on the pitching staff is unconscionable.

I have a novel idea. STOP buying tickets. Stop going to games. The only way they are going to make a better effort to put a decent product on the field is if it hurts their bottom line.

This is an unusual strategy: putting guys who can't hit on base in front of guys who can.
Haven't seen you in the game threads recently, ITP. Good to have you with us.

This is the worst fucking team in history since Trevor Story went down.

What a fucking disaster.
In Story, Giolito, and Pivetta, all three of the guys who could not get hurt have already gotten hurt.

I have enjoyed them, but I am so cranky about the Sox that they have not succeeded in diverting me sufficiently.
I get it. We've had our shortstop, our second baseman, and our catcher all mishandle the baseball in the first inning. Should be three outs instead of three runs.

Giving up a hit to the awful Rendon and hitting the next batter to start the game is a problem.
It's not great, but it isnt by itself "a problem." Good pitchers give up baserunners. He proceeded to get two groundballs that should've been double plays. He did his job!

Feel like I'm going crazy.
