I was sitting here saying to myself, "C'mon Masa, surprise me," expecting a ground ball to second.
I should have been more specific

He won't.

But the team is starting to have a sort of listless air. This is a team that's playing as less than the sum of its parts.
Is it though? How many actual MLB caliber bats does this team have in the lineup? Maybe 4? The roster was weak to begin with and then got tanked by injuries even further.

Wait a minute. The first guy was named Bibee and then the next guy is named Beede?

I'm gonna admit I don't know the Guardians so well, but is that really allowed? That's really confusing.

Casas, Devers, Yoshida, Story, O'Neill. Duran was a bit of a question mark, but he's shown he stuck. Grissom seems like a solid prospect bat as well.

What you're seeing is injury and underperformance/cold starts. Valdez, Yoshida, and Abreu in particular.

And it's resulted in them being a notch below average in terms of their offensive production. They could easily be better.

Or to put it another way, it's not like these guys are maxing out and getting beat.
