Oh. Would be great to have one of those maps to show which parts of the country prefer which term. Think it's "ghost" in the northeast.
The part of the country that prefers the term ghost runner for an actual player standing on a base and running for his team is whatever broadcast booth Dave O'Brien is running his mouth in.

That 7-3 west coast swing was fun, at least.
This is a fun team IMO.

The early season-ending injuries to key players makes me doubt we have the depth to seriously contend in 2024, but between the insanity brewing in Portland and the fact that we actually have a good rotation somehow (prayers up for Whitlock's oblique) means that the early going makes me much more optimistic about the direction of the franchise.

2024 contention really depended on Trevor Story's health. But 2025 contention really doesn't.

Unlucky to an extent in these extra innings.

I think Kenley giving up a clean double to the #9 hitter was the losing moment.

I’m legally blind and can hit as well as Bobby Dalbec. The fact he is on this roster is damning on ownership and shows they have no clue or plan to be successful.

I figured “they’re alright” was the reasonable expectation. 85 wins would’ve had me satisfied.

Doesn’t mean I won’t get annoyed watching them win one lose one all year.

Honestly, if the Sox brass had a heart, they'd release Dalbec tomorrow. He's totally lost out there and needs a change of scenery, maybe more than any player I've ever seen.

I hate watched the Pats in 2023, and I guess I am going to do the same thing with the Sox in 2024. I just expect them to be outclassed and play like morons.

Plus no more Dalbec, he doesn’t belong in the majors.

There's the difference between Cleveland and Boston right there. 0-2 pitch to the worst hitter in Red Sox history. Throw it outside in the dirt. And then strike him out on an outside slider.
0-2 to Jose Ramirez, one of the better hitters in the game. Flat pitch right down the middle to start the rally.

Ok, I want to confirm this because it just can’t be true…. Does Bobby Dalbec have Zero hits so far this year? Did I hear DOB correctly? If so, why in all the fuck of fucks is he still on this team?
