Wikelman came in for the 4th inning and struck out 3, with 1 walk. Wasn't expecting a relief appearance by him, but so far so good.

Sea Dogs up 6-2 in the bottom of the 4th now.

Edit: Marcelo doubles in another run, 7-2 now.

The more I think about the Wikelman thing, the more it makes sense to me.

He pitched 2 innings on Monday the 9th & 0.2 innings on Monday the 16th, so there is no real workload reason not to bump him up.

He also struggled last season in the beginning of the year before crushing it later in the year. Moving him to the Sunday slot where the games are usually earlier in the day & thus warmer weather also makes sense.

Dalton Rogers pitched 4 good innings, before running into trouble & not making it through the 5th, but all 3 of those runs were unearned.

Ryan Zeferjahn, who has been really good this year, pitched a scoreless 8th & 9th, 1 hit, 1 bb, 5 k's for his 2nd save.

Portland won 8-5.

Carlson pitched a scoreless 6th but ran into trouble in the 7th with a hbp, a steal, a sac bunt & a walk.

Caleb Bolden came in & got the next hitter to pop up, but they pulled the double steal to score the eventual winning run, as Greenville lost 5-4.

Bolden retired all 5 batters he faced, striking out 1.

Royman Blanco allowed a homer to the 1st hitter he faced in the 7th.

Blanco allowed 2 more hits, but got through the rest of the 7th & 8th unscathed.

Isaac Stebens pitched a 1-2-3 9th to lower his ERA to 0.82.
