My impression is that NBA players generally respect each other, so I hope that their first priority in post-whistle challenges is to not come anywhere close to injuring their opponent. If it's not their first priority, it should be.

They need to. Going back to Miami -- and the refs -- is asking for 7 games. Just finish this shit out.
The most likely scenario is that Stan is overcompensating for the fact that his brother works for the Celtics. Stan is, undoubtedly, rooting for the Celtics to win the title.
Game 2 aside.. this team has been excellent at home. I would expect the crowd to be very loud and for the Celtics to come out hoping to close it out. If they get up early I could see the Heat fading...for once.
Based on listening to him talk it would seem it's more of a sibling rivalry.. especially since I don't think he thinks he can say enough negative things about Tatum.
