Are they swinging like they got tickets to Disneyland today and want to get there as soon as possible or is that what it looks like on Gameday?
Given what we've been hearing about pitching philosophy lately, interesting to see Nick coming out firing a lot of high 4-seamers.
Pivetta's four seam (and Crawford, I think, too) are actual really good pitches.
They aren't cutting out the 4 seamer, they are staying away from weak pitches.
He and Crawford have the elite IVBs. They’re not going to get away from four-seamers.
The casualness of calling a strike 6 inches above the strike zone. Then he has to go chasing the 2nd pitch. Thanks a feckin lot.
He did in his first game too. It all depends on what their most effective pitches are.
They cannot handle this guy living up and out of the zone right now.

Casas is really bad at the swimming bear, or whatever that hit celebration is.

Casas hit that almost on the end of the bat and still hard enough to get it through the infield.
I'm going to turn 48 in two weeks and have never played organized sports, but I'm pretty sure I can beat Casas in a race.
Don't forget old friend Adrian "Turtle" Gonzalez. We're still waiting for him to round second base.
