If it's water, why does it feel so bad?

I'm really gonna need some good news on Story.

What the ever-loving fuck was that Water.

6-2. First place. Get well Trevor. Everyone else catch the fucking ball.

God bless Canada.

He is talking to the media now. Doesn’t seem super stressed or depressed. That makes me a little hopeful.

F the Angels announcer that said "Trevor Story, finally healthy" on his first at bat."

Good win though! Please win 20, 30 more than I "predicted."

I see we have Water! Went to bed after the tie. As someone up thread said, this is a game we would have lost last year with all the bad defense.

According to https://umpscorecards.com/games/ the home plate umpire Alex Tosi had an accuracy of 99.4% last night. I don't ever remember watching a game where I was so impressed with so many calls on the black or an inch off called correctly for both teams all game long.

Now that I'm older one of the few things that bothers me during a game is inaccurate calls (more than, say, a squander or a nutpunch loss which I now accept as part of the game), and it's rare that a game is called so well that it becomes an enjoyable part of the event.

Tosi was phenomenal, can we cut a deal with MLB to pay his salary in exchange for him traveling with the team?

That ump was great. One thing is though, in the old days we didn’t have the technology to see where the pitches were with such precision. OTOH again, what is wrong with these other umpires that are being exposed, with big screen HD TVs, the Amica pitch zone, etc., calling pitches 8 or 9 inches out of the song as strikes?

I came here to post something similar. Fantastic work by Tosi. 80604

I guess you'll be playing a Powerball ticket with a 5 as the Powerball.

Breaking Powerball, not Moneyball, news:

"Powerball game rules require that every single ticket sold nationwide be checked and verified against two different computer systems before the winning numbers are drawn. This is done to ensure that every ticket sold for the Powerball drawing has been accounted for and has an equal chance to win. Tonight, we have one jurisdiction that needs extra time to complete that pre-draw process," the statement continued.

Powerball also told players to hold onto their tickets for Saturday's drawing, as the drawing will go forward once the required pre-draw procedures have been completed.

If the winning ticket ends up coming from the state that delayed the results, look out...
