Haven't been commenting in the game threads, but I've watched all but a small handful of games this season absolutely unbelievable season this year. And still more to go.
Swayman got hung out to dry a lot tonight and was still better than the expected goals allowed. 15 HDC total for the Flyers, only 3 in the back of the net.
Pastrnak only played 15:04 tonight and had 4 points. It was actually a light night for him minutes wise.
I think the consensus in our pre-season pickem was “eke into the playoffs” . Not… set the wins record and be within grasp of the points record
Both Washington and Montreal are going to be on the second nights of back-to-backs (while the Bs won't be) and they both suck. While anything can happen, I'm betting on the Bs securing the points record.
Yes, but should they just throw the Washington game just for the thrill of getting the record in Montreal? That would be quite a flex.
I actually like this move. It shows how little the team actually cares about the record and knows the focus is on what comes next.
If they sat the big names AFTER they secured the record, but still played them the second night of a back to back - it would show they actually did care a little bit.
The Bruins are the only team that you can combine two other teams point totals and not reach their point total. In fact, you can fit in the Flyers and the BJs both and still have some points to spare. Nearly the Caps. Maybe by the time the season is done.
