Not Cora's finest hour. Not a huge fan of PH right here. Now we get Dalbec against a RHP and playing 2B for the rest of the game??
They took the bat out of his hands!Chances of Dalbec getting a hit?
I actually think him and Refsnyder are a pretty solid util OF combination. I don't want either of them playing 140+, but they are serviceable enough for what they do.Tapia clearly has a ceiling as a hitter. But it's an attractive one.
I know, that looked score from first worthy, especially with two out.Casas is so slow
And I like some speed on the benchI actually think him and Refsnyder are a pretty solid util OF combination. I don't want either of them playing 140+, but they are serviceable enough for what they do.
I think it will be interesting to see if Winck gets a second inning instead of Schreiber. 1-2-3, not many pitches, although that one was smoked.Big Wincky for two, then Jansen for 400.
I think people consistently underestimate the impact of having serviceable end of the bench guys. I read this book recently and it talked about how improving everything by 1% seems small but has a massive effect, maybe more so than improving one thing by a lot, and it reminded me of this Sox team and Chaim’s roster constructionTakes a shockingly slow runner to not score there.
Nice job by Tapia though. It’s noticeable this year that the “worst“ players on the team are making a positive impact.
