Recently, offensively, yeah. I've enjoyed his D. Twice he's hit balls so effortlessly hard for home runs I thought he'd swung and missed.I guess I'm wrong, but Devers' season is a big disappointment to me so far.
Gold Dust, this is a masterpieceGame 43
Four games in a row, each worse than the last.
The Red Sox are slumping and fading fast.
Just weeks ago, we were all believers.
Were we just fooled by overachievers?
Confident heading into this homestand,
the games have not gone the way we had planned.
The offense just isn’t clicking these days.
The defense can’t seem to turn double plays.
When starters throw well, the pen lets us down.
Will we win a game before we leave town?
The team has looked cooked in their recent games.
(like the “This is fine” dog sitting in flames.)
Still, I’ll admit that if someone told me
a quarter way through the season we’d be
over 500 and right in the race
for a playoff spot (which is still the case),
I’d’ve signed up for a season like this,
with its peaks and valleys, torture and bliss.
The team’s fun to watch (on most days at least),
and though they’re a longshot to win the East,
they’ve got wily vets and kids that will grow.
Bounce back. Believe. There’s a long way to go.
Shows what I know. There's a .125 hitter up next. Play it on a hop.
About that...There's a .125 hitter up next. Play it on a hop.
He heard you. There's a .125 hitter up next. Play it on a hop.
Don't tease. This may be his last few pitches in a Sox uniform.
Red Sox having 3 good (healthy) starters and a 6 man rotation is inspiring stuff. This pitching staff is hot garbage. Especially with McGuire catching
Can we get a MLB LH Pen arm at this point? Here's hopingThis may be his last few pitches in a Sox uniform.
I don't think it's a coincidence Crawford and Whitlock are lined up tonight with him.Don't tease.
It's a dumb play in that situation (2 outs and 2 men on) regardless of who is up next. And that kid has a lousy average but 4 of his 6 hits this year are homers. There's a .125 hitter up next. Play it on a hop.
