I realized the other day that there are basically no good referees. Zarba is bad but I think he’s better than Brothers and Marc DavisZarba again? Damn it. He's quite possibly the worst official in the NBA, and that's a deep pool.
Everyone is better than Brothers. I mean, like not just the other refs, but random people off the street too.I realized the other day that there are basically no good referees. Zarba is bad but I think he’s better than Brothers and Marc Davis
Same story here, except it’s a chest cold/virus. I’m hoping I can stay awake for the whole game.It is spectacular weather where I'm at. A three-day weekend. Family is in town. And I'm laid out with a fucking stomach bug.
The Celtics would really improve my outlook on life by beating that motherfucker Jimmy Butler.
Syrio Forel lives!
One of those makes sense, the other was never in doubt.
Love this post. I’ve had a great day in western CO with my sis and her family. Have now convinced the family to watch at least the first half out in Palisade, CO before a family dinner at 7:30 PM MST. I’m convinced I’ll see enough in the first half to know which way the game is going. We've been here before.
In 2004, we headed to Yankee Stadium and needed to find someone to start the game (we all know how that played out). We had to overcome a pitcher who couldn't move and an exhausted bullpen. We had to survive a yankee rally, cut short by Slappy McBluelip's signature play, perhaps the most desparate cheating attempt we've ever seen on a baseball field. It was because they were scared---two and a half games in, they knew things had changed and they were out of answers. Keith Foulke finished the game on fumes, and we were headed for game 7.
We were here against Milwaukee last year. Jayson Tatum put up 46 points and carried us back home for game 7.
We were here two weeks ago against Philly...we trailed 73-71 to start the fourth. We weren't shooting and the TV narrative was "is this Jayson Tatum's signature failure?" But Tatum had other ideas, reeling off 16 points in the fourth to get us the win and send us back home for game 7.
The Miami Heat are up. But they need one more win and we haven't let them get it. They have been targeting today to get it---they pulled starters early in Game 5; they are hoping Vincent can return; Butler talked this game up post-game. They need one win. They are showing fear. What do we say to the god of death?
Not Today.
Today we play defense like we did in Game 5.
Today we make good decisions offensively.
Today we fight for the loose balls.
Today we battle for rebounds - as a team.
Win today. Send us home for game 7.
We've been here before. We know the way out.
Brothers is the worst, but Zarba is not far behindZarba again? Damn it. He's quite possibly the worst official in the NBA, and that's a deep pool.
I don't really want him to turn out to be a nazi. Why can't he be our bloody sock guy tonight? It is Game 6, after all.
This here’s some straight philosophy:I remain resolute that this team can win the next game and prolong their season. Because its still the one and only thing that matters. Win.the.next.game.
Thank you. Would never have guessed thatIS=18, as in banner 18
