In his last 6 games KDLC has gone 13-for-20 with 3 walks, 2 doubles & 3 HR. That's a .650/.696/1.200/1.896 line.

Fitting that his solo shot in the 8th tonight proved to be the playoff-clinching run.

Speaking of Portland, what is the status of Sean Coyle? I assume he is hurt ?

Yes. Placed on the DL on August 9 with a bum ankle.

A decent pro debut for the kid. He was activated yesterday after being shifted to GCL from Greenville's DL in a paper move, as he'd remained in Fort Myers and was just utilizing one of the Drive's reserve roster spots.

The corresponding move for the Drive was catcher Jordan Procyshen promoted from Lowell to Greenville. That makes 5 prospects from the 2014 draft who've been moved up to low-A this season (along with Sam Travis, Cole Sturgeon, Hector Lorenzana & most recently Danny Mars).
