He is good. People can get hung up on the baserunning gaffe which really wasn't on him but I this guy does everything pretty well. He can hit at this level, his speed on the bases is elite for a catcher and he seems decent behind the plate. If he keeps up this trajectory he is going to be considered a core player for this group imo.
100% agreement. The return for one year of Betts was dynamite.

Agree. I think after Pivetta thriving in the bullpen role, and Vertigo's defense in right, Wong showing he could be an everyday starting catcher is the most pleasant surprise of the season
It’s the OBP that is letting him down. 109 Ks in 326 PAs is where he has a lot of room for improvement. With the new shift rules, putting the ball in play gives you room for improvement. At catcher, with defensive tools, a few extra OBP points goes a long way.

Houck has had very few balls in the actual strike zone. Dodgers don’t care. Swing city. Outman took a few then got a get me over.

Mookie is a good player and seems like a decent kid, but you would think somewhere in all this hagiography, they would mention the serial gonorhea.
