Love it so far. It's good enough I might skip the Sox. Somehow this movie has a lot of the same DNA as Midnight Cowboy
After our top three make outs 1,2,3 against a 6.something ERA pitcher, that happens. Oy!

This teams vaunted pitching program is really taking a hit this year. Every pitcher on the team seems extraordinarily fatigued.
Starting to feel like this team will end up with a losing record. They look done with a month still to go.

It's not about "preparation." The guy hasn't pitched in four years. All the prep work in the world was going to keep him from hitting an innings wall.
The same with Guys like Crawford and Bello ... they're entering uncharted territory.
He's already coaching the base running and the outfield defense. There's one so much one dead guy can do
Sure. Was any of this is a surprise going in to the year, though? The innings they all pitched last year wasn’t a secret.
Bello pitch 153 innings last year; he's at 137 this year, predominantly against better competition
What if the Sox assembled an entire pitching roster of guys that pitch 3 innings? Not a single guy that goes one inning. 3 innings, 3 days rest, 3 innings, etc.
It sure seems like it's a secret to those who call for Paxton to be dumped in a trash can, or not considered for bringing back next season.

This is where the pitch clock is so brutal. Used to be you had a mound visit, kick the rosin bag, walk around a bit. Now, there’s no way to try to reset and you risk the wheels falling off.
