There's one thing the MFY do a LOT better than us - Take walks. Even their young guys. We are terrible at it. Except for Casas.

Wilyer and Urias are a breath of fresh air in that respect, as much as the latter has struggled

Well, at least Story made contact. I was surprised to see Casas go after that high pitch to strike out. He usually has such an elite sense of the zone.

It was a hell of a play even getting to that ball, but yeah, Story has got to know to eat that ball

it's the risk we take to have his bat in the lineup.
Yeah, I know you're joking, but Story's error cost Sale a ton of pitches. That, and the Orioles' skill at working the pitcher, may make it hard for Sale to go five, which risks Cora bringing in the Bad Bullpen rather than the Good Bullpen. Now, if the Sox are leading, does he still tap the good pitchers even if it's early?

Story's error didn't cost any pitches. He shouldn't have made the throw that let the runner score, but the batter was going to reach no matter what.

not a lot of people know this but walking the #9 batter to start an inning is actually a good strategy

Ah, Fangraphs doesn't have those listed because they were in the low minors? Looks like those were back in A- in 2019, so quite a ways back.

Anyways, this game sucks
Agreed. And yeah, most of his 2b innings were in the GCL and Salem.

Wonder why Valdez is getting so many innings, instead of Urias.

Sale should be moved to closer or something. He seems to be able to cook for like 1 turn through. After that he gets smacked.

I have too. I'm guessing because Urias hasn't been able to get out of his funk and I think he got hurt on a HBP. I still expect 2B is his job to lose

Valdez also has been smoking the ball since he came up.
