Duvall, Story, Yoshida, Wong ... I wonder which of them leads the team in. 0-2 counts

I said at the time and I still agree, with the way this team hasn't developed pitching, they had to take a gamble on Sale's extension, which was a bit below market rate for what he was in 2017.

It blew up spectacularly but I understand the logic behind it.

This Orioles offense is quite good but it shouldn't be running through Aaron Hicks and James McCann.

I mean the opportunity to make a move in the WC race has been there for a bit now…and the Sox are coming up short in just about every possible aspect of the game. Getting ugly.
The Sox don’t have the starting pitching and it cooked the bullpen. Everyone talked about needing a starter and Bloom got none and will use this failure as confirmation that he was right.

I’ve posted some embarrassing shit on this board but the nickname “Bloomati” is quite possibly the cringiest thing I’ve read on here.

Nice BB via not expanding the strike zone at the plate. Hope the vets don't ruin Abreau's approach.

The offense is streaky
The pitching is somehow understaffed and overstaffed, and lacks enough high-end performers
The defense and baserunning display a glaringly weak grasp of fundamentals
But they have cornered the market on sixth starters and DHs

Chris Sale will have to get used to being a #4 and bulk innings guy. His best years are obviously behind him.

Amazing. It was 2-0 when I last looked.
No team that I’ve ever seen gives up like the Red Sox of the Chaim Bloom era (2021 aside).

We are 100% finishing behind the Yankees.

New market efficiency

Given how Milwaukee is helping us out in the Bidet, a shootout victory today would be most agreeable
