Game Four, May 6, 2011
BOSTON 5 Philly 1
For the second year in a row the Bruins entered Game 4 up 3-0 on Philadelphia. We won't talk about 2010.
The Bruins power play scored their first of the playoffs on a meaningless 5 on 3 late in game 3. At 12:02 Milan Lucic took a feed from Nathan Horton and scored a much more meaningful one to put the Bruins up one after one.
Kris Versteeg brought the visitors even at 13:22 of the second and the teams went to the locker room tied at 1.
Just 2:42 into the 3rd a Johnny Boychuk slap shot off a face off found its way past Bobrovsky and gave the Bruins back the lead. Then at 15:03 a nifty feed from Horton sent Lucic in alone and he gave the Bruins an insurance goal. Empty netters by Marchand (18:04) and Paille (19:35) gave the Bruins their second 5-1 win in a row. And sent them to the Eastern Conference Finals.
Here's how SoSH reacted (if I can find the old threads)
