Yes, this one inning of one game proves that
The problem is not that an opener can never work in a one-game playoff ever, it's that an Australian opener never works in a one-game playoff.

Everyone knows this.

100$ to the first person who can show me a Yankees fan whose face doesn’t scream “Punch me until I have no teeth left.”

New York City
New York is one of the most diverse places on the planet, and yet every single Yankee fan looks like either a douchey Wall Street-type bro or a douchey Staten Island-type bro or some combination of the two.

It doesn't help when they all bathe in the sewers.

Sorry if this has been mentioned upthread: Anyone else having issues with their TBS app? I’m on my tablet and it says the game isn’t available in my area. I’m in North’s Carolina and am logged in using a DirecTV login if that matters.

they basically have 1 good starter and he got hurt a few weeks ago, unless they wanted to throw smoke and mirrors edwin jackson this was probably their best option (especially when you can stack the roster with bullpen arms for a 1 game series)
Thanks for the information; pretty impressive to win 97 games under those circumstances.

So instead of getting them and their depleted starters, we get the gashouse gorillas.

If Severino is able to keep putting the slider there A’s are absolutely toast.
Alternatively, the A's took Severino deep in the count last inning and he has 37 pitches through two innings. He isn't going deep into this game and as much as they are feared, the Yankee pen isn't unhittable.

Come on.

We both know that the A's are going to ground out on 6 pitches next inning.
