Hamels is 31 and he should still be in line for a win.

Yes, I was exaggerating to make a point, we've never seen a wave of under-25 talent like this. Bautista is 34.

How can anyone not want the Jays to advance? This team is just fun.
Well let's see if the building is still standing after the game.  The fans may implode the whole place. Win or lose.

I was in Montreal for the final weekend of their 2002 season (2nd to last in Montreal) when Vlad was stuck at 39 HR, 40 SB.  It was the final game of the season (and maybe Montreal's last...2003 wasn't certain, yet).  "Will he be a 40/40 man?"  That was the question everyone was asking.  He hit a bomb to right field and it hit near the top of the wall and landed in the field of play.  It was ruled NOT a HR.  The fans went absolutely berserk.  I've never seen so much garbage thrown on to a "field."  Players were taken off and the game was delayed for several minutes.

I cannot believe anyone is hating that bat flip by Bautista.
I don't care, I just enjoyed one of you pointing out that Price always ragged on Ortiz for bat-flipping, and now he cheers his own teammate, who does the same thing.

Maybe, but did you see the Youtube of the Maple Leafs fans couple years ago as they were blowing the big lead to the Bruins. Pretty stoic, and hockey is THE Canadian sport.

There were street riots in Montréal in 1955 when Rocket Richard was suspended for the playoffs.

I really need to understand how Fox execs can listen to Reynolds and think he should continue to be on the air. McCarver was awful but I could see how some people might think he wasn't. With Reynolds there can be no debate.

The only way he gets fired is if he is involved in another harassment scandal

Québécois also rioted during not one, but TWO Guns N' Roses concerts.

I went to a Sox series in Toronto back in 2004.  I have a lot of respect for those fans.  Great baseball city.
Well perhaps there's a massive rise in alcoholism in the last 11 yaers?

The playoffs have been outstanding so far and we've still got two more game fives and we're not even into the championship series yet in either league, let alone the actual World Series.

I know it was mentioned before, but the ump with the huge wad of chew bulging out looks ridiculous.

My thoughts exactly. It's already been a hell of a postseason and we have three weeks left.

Given the level of craziness from the fans in this game I'm wondering if they'll have anything left if they go all the way - there's still another 8 wins needed...this is just the DS!

Texas has postseason choking down to perfection.

I picked TOR but really wanted Texas to win.

Now I'm going to root for Houston even though they too will lose.

There's something to be said when teams don't make the LCS for a long time. The fans are really hungry and passionate. Glad they didn't bum rush the players.
