When Bader is back soon, I would love to see this:
Gleyber DH
Judge LF/RF
Rizzo 1B
Stanton LF/RF
Donaldson 3B
Bader CF
Peraza SS
Trevino C
Volpe 2B
Stanton wants to play OF as soon as they let him, he thinks he is more likely to get hurt again DHing. Judge has never played LF and he has played CF, but Bader is too good to move. The ideal configuration is probably Judge/Bader/Stanton but I'd try it both ways, maybe depending on the park. If Volpe hits at all, he is one of the best baserunners I have ever seen already and I think their best defensive option at 2B (over Gleyber/DJ), so I'd give him some more time to try to figure it out, at 2B.
That would I think be a spectacular defensive team, decidedly better than NY's #1 MLB in team DRS 2022 team on paper, with Bader and Peraza and Volpe bumping Hicks and IKF and Gleyber. Even Stanton is usually surprisingly OK when he gets a chance.
