That really wasn't a party.Yeah but you weren’t taping yourself at a party for reasons I’ll never understand.
I was at a house in Somerville that 5 friends lived at- 4 Sox fans and a Yanks fan. He's lucky we didn't murder him, especially the way he was acting.@Dummy Hoy Dirty secret, but my brother is a pretty diehard MFY fan. I was at a client site in Philly that week, watching the game in the hotel bar. Sending him good natured ribbings throughout the evening. Naturally, mine tapered off as his increased. At the end of the game I sent him a one word text that started with F, anded with K, and rhymes with LUCK
Also F __LUCK_ Tom Wilson.
Oh man, I was in Iraq for this one, watching from my top bunk at zero dark thirty in the morning, trying not to wake the other 100 or so people in my giant warehouse tent up. That game was bananas. Now I'm down the Dafoomie rabbit hole and man Game 6 in 08 against the Canadians was amazing too. I was in Japan watching a TiVo stream and Jack Edwards screaming 5-4 Boston still makes me shiver. Can the playoffs start already.
The girl in the back left at the Bergeron tying goal. Huge smile on her face. Then for OT she’s back, and in a Leafs jersey. Huge smile on her face for the game winning goal. And the kid in the front right is still sitting there, frozen in time.
Loudest I've ever heard any sporting event. I couldn't hear myself think.any of the 4 during the early barrage against the Canucks in game 6 in 2011 (if I had to single out 1 goal, it'd be the Lucic goal to go up 2-0)
My guess is nervous laughing. The girl in the back left at the Bergeron tying goal. Huge smile on her face. Then for OT she’s back, and in a Leafs jersey. Huge smile on her face for the game winning goal.
Curious as to her story.
There is a longer version of that video. She starts the game with a Leafs sweater on but at some point takes it off. When the collapse happens they all (well, the guys) start harassing her to put it back on. She does. The girl in the back left at the Bergeron tying goal. Huge smile on her face. Yeah she could probably care less about sports but dated one of those kids at the time and was dreading watching these games every other night for the next few weeks. There is a longer version of that video. I don't think she is a big fan.
Less important both in the moment and with the benefit of hindsight, but at the time (before all of the above) the Mark Savard OT winner against Philly could have been known in my house as the Invisible Ninja Genocide. Not sure which goal was more euphoric and loud- Bergy's tying goal that night, Horton's game 7 winner against Montreal, Horton's goal in game 7 against Tampa, or any of the 4 during the early barrage against the Canucks in game 6 in 2011 (if I had to single out 1 goal, it'd be the Lucic goal to go up 2-0).
Ah, memories.
There’s a huge butterfly effect if Edmonton picks Seguin:Makes me wonder about the alternate universe in which Tambellini picks Seguin.
Chiarelli left so much value on the table when he dumped "Half of Kane"; glad to see the B's potentially end up on the winning half of a trade.
I believe that they would have. The overall effect of having Hall (who was a better fit on the roster at the time) in the playoffs would have been greater than Seguin flashing for one game.Do the Bruins win the 2011 cup without Seguin? He didn't do a ton in the playoffs but that game against Tampa changed that whole series. If they go down 0-2 they might not even make the finals.
