Can't figure out why New Jersey got the second pick in the 1987 draft. (Wesley was the third pick). I remember that Harry wanted Brendan Shanahan badly.
The real fuck up of that draft was taking Stephane Quintal instead of Joe Sakic with the #14 pick. They probably win the cup in '90 with him.
I think it was by virtue of their record - they finished tied with the Sabres for lowest point total in the NHL in '86-'87
