I"ll be at a concert in Philly Friday so miss Utah v Oregon State, which is a bummer. Should be a good one.
Fingers crossed Rising is finally back from his injury so we can see what this Utah offense can actually do. The defense has been carrying them admirably well but they need to start moving the ball much better.

This would have been a good week for it with Clemson coming to the Dome and SU undefeated. But Duke-ND is much better.

You guys need to tear down that crap venue (Sherman Douglas got me into college basketball so I have a soft spot for it but it’s time) and build 3 new ones. One for basketball and one for football and one for lacrosse.

No way. The Dome is great. Not super pretty, but great. It’s called the loud house for a reason - when the fans really show, that’s as loud a place for a football game you’ll ever find as the dome (which is smaller than most) traps the sound and it’s amazing.

And for basketball it’s helpful for home court advantage and recruiting. Not that they get all the top guys (or any of them!) but it does help in that you can say look you’re going to be playing against Duke and North Carolina in front of 35,000 people. Nobody in the country can match that. There are other reasons why top recruits don’t come to SU but hopefully some of those are changing with Autry. Some things can’t be changed - like the winter weather.

I'll be at the UT-Kansas game with a group of friends--first-ever P5 CFB game in person for me. If you'd told me when we bought the tickets we'd be looking at a game between ranked undefeateds I'd have fallen over laughing.

Enjoy DRK, it'll be hot. Be cautious of that.

Bevo Blvd is pretty great before the game, too.

Yup, staying in a place about a 30 minutes walk from that area. Plan is Schotz's, up Bevo, then the game. If it were forecast to be 10 degrees cooler it would be perfect.

Lions convert 4th and 10
40 seconds left they run for some reason
Then sacked and 25 seconds left
They’re down 3 and on around the 40

For some reason Princeton’s victory formation is in the shotgun

Weird
I'm surprised more teams don't. How many snaps did he take under center during the game? Probably none? And now you want him to get in there with guys on either side of you and the defense breathing on you and get a clean snap? Heck, just 2 weeks ago Tua fumbled a kneel down (at least the second fumbled snap of the game) and if the Pats had been paying attention would have had a decent chance at recovering. Why do something you basically never do when all you care about is getting a play off? Hell worst case a bad snap is still probably more likely to be recovered in shotgun than from under center. Especially with 2 (or more) guys flanking you.

USC will be fine today. CU has a bad defense and their offense reminds me of the Patriots. No confidence in the oline so every play is quick and designed to get 3-5 yards. Tough to sustain drives when one negative play or penalty is almost impossible to overcome.

Sanders was 8-8 for 19 yards at one point in this game, I'm no mathematician but that doesn't seem like a winning approach.
